Add a new contact or append to an existing contact on all Identify calls

Recommend configuration: on

A new contact will be added to Autopilot (or new information appended to an existing contact if they already exist) on all Identify calls received from Segment.

If you turn this off, Autopilot will only add new contacts when you send a Track event with the Identify.

Use original User ID for the Send Event action (i.e. outgoing Segment calls)

Recommend configuration: on

When this option is enabled, outgoing Identify and Track events sent from Autopilot via the Send Event action will contain the original User ID that you used for the contact on the most recent incoming Identify or Track call to Autopilot.

For example, if you sent us the following identify call:

'last_name': 'First',
'first_name': 'Name',
'email': ''

We will use 6fec15e6161c4ee59256b35845ecb1e5 as the User ID for outgoing Segment calls for

However, if we have not yet received an Identify or Track call including a User ID for the contact, we will send out the Autopilot Contact ID as the User ID by default.

When this option is disabled, we will use the Autopilot Contact ID as the User ID on outgoing Identify and Track calls by default.

Alias Autopilot's Contact ID with Segment's User ID

Recommend configuration: off

By default we don’t send out an Alias event linking the Segment User ID with the Autopilot Contact ID. If you would like to link the two IDs, please enable this setting.​

​We will send out the Alias event each time we receive an Identify or Track event when this option is enabled.
